BLUE CATFISH

This trip is offered year round and is done on the Lower James River between Richmond City and Williamsburg, Virginia. I operate a 20 foot Carolina Skiff that is 8 feet wide to allow for a comfortable ride and great fishing.

On this trip all bait and tackle is provided. You and your party just need to bring something to eat, drink and a camera.

On a blue cat trip you can expect to catch fish from 20lbs to 80lbs and possibly the new state record.

During the summer months we fish at night from 7pm -3am.

SMALLMOUTH/ BREAM

This trip is offered from late April until late November on the Upper James River. I use a 14 ft jon boat to navigate the rocky waters between Scottsville and Richmond. I also have kayak fishing available in these areas.

On this trip you can expect to catch a lot of smallmouth up to 5 lbs and it is not uncommon to catch over 100 fish per day. The best day I have had is 175 fish with mixed smallmouth and bream.

I offer 2 trips for my smallmouth trips. One is a full day from Watkins Landing, and the other is a ½ day trip from the Huguenot Flat Water Park. Multiple boats can be used for larger parties.

SHAD / STRIPERS

The shad run will begin about the second week in March and the stripers will be following the shad and herring up the James. This trip will be set up in ½ day and full day trips.
